Red Raider fans will get their first glimpse of the 2025 version of the Texas Tech football program Saturday during the annual Spring Game hosted inside Jones AT&T Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. with free admission for all fans.
Gate 1 in the southwest corner of Jones AT&T Stadium will open at 1 p.m. Saturday prior to the start of team warmups. Below is additional information for fans leading into Saturday’s game.
TELEVISION INFORMATION
There will not be any television or streaming coverage of the Texas Tech Spring Game.
GAME FORMAT
Joey McGuire will put the Red Raiders through several competitive situations over the course of the 90-minute scrimmage, including a two-minute drill, 3rd-and-long scenarios and a red zone lockout period. Fans will also get an extended look at Texas Tech’s new-look offensive and defensive lines during one-on-one rush drills on one side of the field, while the secondary and wide receivers go head-to-head on the other side.
The scrimmage will also include 7-on-7 passing periods as well as a 9-on-7 drill the Red Raiders utilize to improve on both sides of the ball against the run. There will not be a scoring format or running clock outside of certain situational team periods.
SOUTH END ZONE FIELD CLUB TICKETS OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT
There’s not a better spot on gamedays in the fall than the Gary Petersen Field Club in the South End Zone Building of Jones AT&T Stadium. The field club is officially sold out for what should be a packed crowd to welcome the Red Raiders on and off the field. All fans with tickets to the Gary Petersen Field Club should enter the stadium through Gate 9.
All tickets will be delivered digitally from the Texas Tech Ticket Office and provide access to both the field club and the loge premium area off the south concourse. Fans in these areas will also have limited access to the field and will receive additional information later this week from the Red Raider Club.
TEAM AWARDS TO BE PRESENTED AT HALFTIME
Texas Tech will welcome back several letterwinners for this weekend’s Spring Game, including multiple members of its 2024 roster that played in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. Joey McGuire and his staff will present the team awards for the 2024 season during a break in Saturday’s scrimmage as part of a tradition that dates back to 1961 and features the likes of the Pete Cawthon Memorial Team MVP, the Dell Morgan Memorial Courage Award and the E.J. Holub Double Tough Award, among others. McGuire and his staff brought back the longtime tradition upon his hiring at Texas Tech in 2022.
PARKING INFORMATION
Fans are encouraged to utilize the Commuter North C-1 parking lot immediately west of Jones AT&T Stadium on Saturday. Texas Tech is offering complimentary parking for the spring game. All fans are asked to enter the stadium through either Gate 1 (southwest corner) and sit on the west side of Jones AT&T Stadium.
BECOME A NEW SEASON TICKET HOLDER
The demand for Texas Tech season tickets remains at an all-time high as the athletics department has less than 500 season tickets remaining entering this week. Fans who have not locked in their seat for the 2025 season can do so Saturday by speaking with ticket sales representatives located on the west stadium concourse. Season tickets are now available in all sections of Jones AT&T Stadium, giving fans the opportunity to pick their exact seat location by contacting a member of the ticket sales staff.
CONCESSION STANDS OPEN ON WEST SIDE OF STADIUM
Concession items will be available for purchase only on the west side of Jones AT&T Stadium on Saturday. Whataburger and Two Docs Brewery will also have stands available on the west concourse near the main entrance Saturday. As a reminder, all concession stands are fully cashless as all points of sale will accept only credit or debit cards as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.
