“I hope you’ll join us for the final episode of The Songwriter Series. I was waiting for Uncle Matty to post his post, and he did: My favorite place to play music and indulge in the finest of cocktails and camaraderie is closing. The whys are not for me to say. But I will say that I am grateful for the time I spent there; I’m grateful for the friendships I made, and I’m grateful to have a supporter such as Matthew Layton. While he looks forward to his next adventure, I will cherish the closing moments of this one. I do hope you’ll join us for an extraordinary show with Paige Lewis. She’s one hell of a songwriter, and I’m glad she’ll have the opportunity to experience the magic of Bodine’s before it disappears. As for The Songwriter Series, I do hope to continue it here in Lubbock. I’m not quite sure where, if, or when, but at least we’ll always have the memories we made.”
