Speaker; Dr TJ Geiger

Dr. Geiger will be presenting his research on Lula Pace, a Texas Baptist science professor. While debates over evolution spanned across America, Lula Pace was at the center of it all by spearheading an anti-evolution campaign that roiled her denomination in the early 1920s. This presentation will be a look at how science and faith collided through powerful rhetoric and discursive boundary work.
