Doors will open for performances at 7:00pm, and the performances will begin at 7:30pm. We do encourage guests to arrive promptly to find parking, grab concessions if they choose, and settle into their seats before the performance begins. Performances are August 13-16, 2026. This show runs with 2 intermissions, and the total run time is estimated at 2 1/2 hours.

This theatrical presentation of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” at The Historic Baker Building at 1211 13th St in downtown Lubbock, TX is independently produced by Miranda Gunkel in sponsorship with The Historic Baker Building and direction by Zach Judah.

Join us for this haunting tale of a brave Scottish general named Macbeth who receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by his latent ambition and spurred to violence by his wife, Macbeth takes matters into his own hands to bring about his fate. In doing so, he loses his sanity along the way.

This performance is rated PG-13 due to suggestive content and depictions of violence. We do not recommend bringing children to this production. For those who are of legal drinking age, we offer a package of 3 alcoholic beverages at an extra charge for the guest to enjoy during the show. Concessions will be available for purchase at the event.

Types of tickets available:

$20 – General admission: This ticket purchases a seat in the general admission seating section. General admission tickets do NOT have specific seating assignments. Guests will claim seating individually on a first-come, first-served basis. Concessions will be available for purchase at the venue at an additional cost.

$40 – General admission and drinks This ticket purchases a seat in the general admission seating section. General admission tickets do NOT have specific seating assignments. Guests will claim seating individually on a first-come, first-served basis. This ticket also includes 3 specialty drinks served throughout the event. We do NOT have non-alcoholic options for the specialty drinks. Guests who do not drink alcohol are encouraged to purchase non-alcoholic beverages from concessions at the event. Concessions will be available for purchase at the venue at an additional cost.

$75 – VIP – This ticket purchases a seat in the VIP seating section, either in a luxurious lounger or a couch placed close to the stage. The cast will interact with the VIP guests during several scenes throughout the show. This ticket also includes 4 specialty alcoholic drinks. Guests who want VIP seating but do not drink alcohol will receive vouchers for 4 items of their choice from concessions at no additional cost. Concessions will be available for additional purchase at the venue for any additional food and beverages the guest would care to enjoy.
