*Tickets can be purchased online, in advance at Lubbock Meals on Wheels, at any Select-A-Seat location (service charge applies) or for $50 at the door. We accept cash, checks, or credit cards (no American Express please) and will be happy to mail tickets or hold them at the door.

Do you have your KREWE for Lubbock Meals on Wheels 25th Annual Mardi Gras, 2024? This family-friendly event is always lots of fun, and it is LMOW’s largest fundraiser of the year!

Mardi Gras 2024 will include over 35 food booths (with selections from your favorite local restaurants), music by Bo Garza, a large silent auction, and cash bars. All of this will take place at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Exhibit Hall from 5:30pm-8:30pm. In addition to music and fabulous food, there will be children’s activities, a benefit drawing, and traditional Mardi Gras beads. Character Selfies Photo Booth will be set up – for $5, you can get a fun photo commemorating your Mardi Gras celebration. You’ll see lots of purple (for justice), green (for faith), and gold (for power) – all traditional Mardi Gras colors. Kiddos will enjoy the Children’s Area featuring bouncers, face and hair painting, and many other activities. There is no additional charge for activities in the children’s area.

Reigning over this year’s festivities are our Mardi Gras King – Jacob Riley (KLBK) and Queen – Brandi Driggers (KLBK).

Carnival Season begins on the day of the Epiphany, January 6th. Fat Tuesday (or Mardi Gras) is the final celebration on the last night of the Carnival Season, a time to eat, drink, and be merry before beginning the ritual fasting during the Lenten Season.
