Everything is connected in an ecosystem like the prairie, from the atmosphere to the soils and plants to every creature, great and small. Birds of prey play a crucial role in their environment and can be a useful indicator of the health of ranch lands.
The South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center will have their birds of prey in the amphitheater of the Cash Family Ranch Life Learning Center on Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Swing by during this come-and-go program to live owls and hawks and ask questions about these keystone species.
