Spirit Board and Banner Competition

The spirit board and banner competition is an opportunity for student organizations all across campus to show off their creative and artistic skills. Be sure to drive by the Broadway and University entrance to campus or near any Residence Hall to see the spirit boards on display all week! Spirit Banners will be displayed in the Student Union. Winners will be announced at the Friday night pep rally.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 6
Homecoming Kickoff

Stop by our outdoor student space on the northwest corner of the Student Union to kick off Homecoming week by hearing from a few campus speakers and meeting this years royalty candidates. We will introduce all King and Queen nominees representing our TTU Student Organizations. Free t-shirt and food with TTU Student ID while supplies last.

Student Organization (S.O.) Sing

We invite everyone to our traditional S.O. Sing competition to cheer on your favorite student organizations as they compete in this yearly song and dance competition! Free to the public to attend. Free Homecoming t-shirt for any student with a TTU Student ID while supplies last!

Tamale Fest

Between Media and Communications and Architecture Building

Join us at the green space between the Media & Communications and Architecture buildings for our 25th annual Tamale Fest! Take a break between classes and enjoy some free lunch!

Techsan Memorial

Memorial Circle | Rainout: SUB Matador Room

Every year during Homecoming Week, Techsan Memorial is held to remember students, faculty, staff and alumni who have passed away during the previous year. Families and friends are invited to attend the memorial service.

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10
Rowdy Raider Rally

Join us as we announce the Top 5 King and Queen Homecoming Court. At the conclusion of Rowdy Raider Rally, student voting will open for the 2025 King and Queen. This will be the last chance for a free t-shirt with TTU Student ID while supplies last.

A Matador Evening 2025

The Texas Tech Alumni Association invites you to attend our 64th annual A Matador Evening celebration at the McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center. Join fellow Red Raiders and supporters of Texas Tech University for a reception at 6:30 p.m. with dinner and ceremony immediately following at 7 p.m.

Join us for the traditional Homecoming Pep Rally & Bonfire*. Enjoy Red Raider Spirit from our Goin’ Band, Spirit Groups, Raider Red, and the Masked Rider. This family friendly event is free to the public.
