All ages and talents across the South Plains are welcome to apply. The top candidates will be asked to perform on stage. If selected to perform at the event, Make-A-Wish will conduct virtual and in-person rehearsals and run-throughs ahead of the event. All talent must be available the full day on Saturday, February 8, 2025 for rehearsal and competition at the venue.

The fine details for the talent show are:

• $25 entry fee per application (all fees will go toward granting wishes!)

• Acts may not be longer than five minutes + two minutes of stage set-up 

• A total of 8-12 acts will be selected to perform at the event

• The winning act will be selected by a panel of guest judges with a people’s choice element

• The winning act will be awarded a prize of $5,000 to support their growth as an artist

• All participants must be either 18 years of age and able to legally sign release documents or, if under 18 at the time of the show, have their legal guardian sign on their behalf

• Previous Stars of the South Plains winners are not eligible to compete

• Make-A-Wish North Texas is not responsible for participant travel accommodations

If selected, the artist(s) must each agree to comply with the terms of engagement on the stage, which include but are not limited to:

• Adherence to the performance (or a close proximity thereof) to the original submission and as agreed upon with event producers

• Adherence to time limits prescribed by the event production team

• Permission for Make-A-Wish North Texas to use any footage (video or photo) in perpetuity without remuneration

• A “clean” performance (no obscenities, no profanity, no questionable content)

• No selling from the stage

Applications close at 11:59 p.m. on January 3, 2025. No late entries will be accepted.
All applicants will be notified of their selection via email by Friday, January 10, 2025.
