We are looking for artists interested in participating in our first MONSTER DRAWING RALLY!

The Monster Drawing Rally is a high-energy, live art-making fundraiser where 20+ of local artists create 2D artwork in real-time in front of a live audience. Part performance, part art-bazaar, this event features multiple rounds where artists have roughly 45-50 minutes to complete a piece from start to finish.

Each finished piece is then auctioned for $30. The luck of the draw decides the winner of each piece when there is more than one bidder. There are three rounds of art making that all the artists participate in.

When: Friday, August 21, 2026

Time: 6 PM – 9 PM

Where: 405 MLK Blvd

General Admission: Tickets are “free-will donation”/pay-what-you-can for attendees

Artists participating in this lively event generously donate their time and talent to support East Lubbock Art House. Participating artists receive an ELAH t-shirt & a complimentary beverage and snack bag!

Guests partake in a rare and exciting opportunity to watch artists in action and a chance to take home their completed pieces. Attendees will also enjoy a live DJ, light snacks and a cash bar.

ELAH Provides the following materials:

Paper (standard art paper 11 x 17 max, heavyweight, medium surface)

Sharpies (black/ regular width)

Pens (standard, variety)

No.2 pencils & erasers

Charcoal sticks (standard)

Colored pencils (variety)

Markers (variety)

Oil pastels and chalk pastels

Tempera paint sticks

Crayons

Watercolors and watercolor pencils

Clipboards

Painter’s tape/masking tape (not watercolor tape)

Water for paints/wastewater buckets

Artist are free to bring and QUICK DRYING materials that you would like to use that fit within the required parameters and at their own expense!
