The second annual Members’ Show highlights the artistic talents of LHUCA’s supporting membership program. This exhibition celebrates the aspiring, emerging, and established artists in our community that make the South Plains such a creative place.
LHUCA members at any level (Artist, Patron, Sustainer, or Benefactor) will have the opportunity to feature your work in an exhibit in the HDJ Studio Gallery. All mediums are welcome.

Important dates:
Deliver work by: Monday, November 30, 2020 from 10 am – 5 pm (work may be delivered early)
Pick up work: February 1, 2021 from 10 am – 5 pm
LHUCA Exhibit Guidelines:
Display Restrictions:
● All work must be ready to hang.
● no size limit 2D works
● no size limit 3D works
● videos works will be displayed on tv monitor
Artists will be responsible for the following:
● Exhibiting artists are responsible for all costs and arrangements for delivery and pick-up of artwork.
● The artist will provide label information for the artwork in the exhibit including the retail value.
● If the work is not for sale, a value for the art must still be provided for our insurance purposes.
● LHUCA staff will handle all sales of artwork and will retain a 40% commission
● Artists are responsible for insuring their work during transit. (LHUCA insures while at LHUCA only).
● LHUCA will not assume responsibility for work improperly framed or poorly packaged for shipping.
● In the event the hardware provided by the artist fails and a piece is damaged, the artist is responsible for the loss.
● Images of accepted work may be used for promotional purposes.
LHUCA is responsible for and will provide the following:
● LHUCA’S exhibition staff will hang, light and label the exhibit and provide assistance for artists with installation pieces.
● Due to scheduled events, LHUCA may have to move 3-D artwork for the duration of the event.
● Each first Friday of the month, LHUCA hosts the First Friday Art Trail from 6-9pm as a public reception for the exhibiting artists.
● Artwork will be insuranced while on the LHUCA premises.
Security and Insurance Liability:
● Artwork will be insured while at LHUCA for the value provided by the artist.
● If the work is not for sale, a value for the art must still be provided for our insurance purposes.
● In the event that an item is damaged during the exhibit, LHUCA will notify the artist immediately to resolve handling of the claim.
● In the event the hardware provided by the artists fails and a piece is damaged, the artist is responsible for the loss.
Art Sales:
● LHUCA staff will handle all sales of artwork and will retain a 40% commission
● State sales tax will be collected and paid by LHUCA.
● All artwork will remain up for the duration of the exhibit. Sold artwork is held in our offices after the exhibit comes down until the buyer collects it.
