We are accepting submissions for our ELAH Mural Project for 2025-2026! This call for art is open to young individuals within Middle School and High School level (ages 12-19 years old) who attend Rise Academy Charter School, Dunbar Middle School, Estacado Early College/High School, O. L. Slaton, Triumph Public School, Priority Intervention Academy, Roosevelt Middle School, Roosevelt High School, Lubbock High School, or Talkington School for Young Women Leaders.

The ELAH Mural Project is a project where East Lubbock Art House selects up to 10 artists (possibly more) to each individually create:

A 36 inch by 80 inch mural (vertically high wall) on the doors in East Lubbock Art House OR

A 48 inch by 72 inch mural on a mobile wall.

If you submit an application you will be shortlisted to create, design and assist us with large-scale murals in the Fall of 2025 and the Spring 2025.

Each artist selected will be given $275 and Art Supplies after the completion of the ELAH Mural Project Program!

Through this program, artists will be asked to create their mural in an indoor group setting August 6th – August 10th (5 days). There is no theme for the murals selected and artists are open to creating whatever artwork they feel most comfortable with completing. Assistance will be available for mural completion. All supplies will be provided. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR PARTICIPATION!

Selection Process: We will be selecting artists based on completion of the application below, meeting the location requirements and age requirements, feasibility of the mural (can this be completed?), artistic merit (how do we feel about this art?), and originality (how original is this artwork?). Artists selected will be notified no later than the first week in June of the acceptance or rejection of their artwork.

There is no fee to apply and lunch, dinner, and snacks will be provided.
