Join us at the International Cultural Center on Friday, April 10 beginning at 6:00PM as we host a 2026 Book Launch. Since 2023, TTU faculty from several colleges have collaborated on a disinformation/misinformation book project entitled, “Sowing the West Texas Wind.” The editor of the book is Bryan Giemza (Honors College & Fulbright Fellow), and the book is being published by the Texas Tech University Press.
Contributors include: Robert Peaslee (Honors/COMC), Erik Bucy (COMC), Katherine Hayhoe (Political Science, Arts and Sciences), Kent Wilkinson (COMC), Lucinda Holt (COMC), Lyombe Eko (COMC), Sri Swed (Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work), and Brie D. Sherwin (School of Law).
The event is supported by Morris Professorship and co-sponsored by the Marshall and Sharleen Formby Regents Professorship, Harris Institute for Hispanic and International Communication and International Affairs at Texas Tech. Entertainment will be provided by TTU School of Music, East African Quartet (Uganda).
