The Musical

Music & Lyrics by Cole Porter
Book by Whitney Ryan Garrity

Co-Directors – Whitney Ryan Garrity & Heather May
Choreographer – Liberty DeLeon

It’s 1929 in New York City and flighty socialite Paige Whitehall is throwing herself a birthday party. Pampered and sheltered, Paige asks her efficient secretary, Jane Edison, to invite some of Broadway’smore colorful characters and soon the penthouse apartment is filled with bookies, gamblers and performers.

There’s Eddie Delancey, a mild-mannered gangster wannabe; the charming Brooklyn Flatts, and the ne’er-do-well Moose Morton.

Also making an appearance are the beautiful Sullivan Sisters, Dulcie and Diva, direct from their nightclub act at the Red Herring. When caustic columnist Fritzi

Fitzroy arrives and manages to offend everyone at the party, is it any wonder that she ends up drowned in the bathtub gin?

With a guest list of suspects and motives, Jane enlists the aid of Lt. Bleecker to find out whodunit!

Auditions will consist of readings from the script, 14 bars of singing with an accompanist, tracks, or acapella. Cole Porter or period songs are encouraged.

Though not required, you can bring a monologue if you so wish.

Auditions: Saturday Jan 8th @ 2 -4 pm
Sunday Jan 9th @ 2 – 4 pm
