Calling All Veterans!
Mark your calendars for the Veterans Parade as we come together to honor the heroes who have served our country.
The 11th Annual Lubbock Veterans Day Parade is an event designed to honor veterans and all who have served in Lubbock. Veterans Day is observed on November 11 in all states and is usually a state and federal holiday. This event is for veterans and their families, and the city of Lubbock, to bring the community and region together. SAVE THE DATE FOR 2026 – The parade will occur on November 14, 2026.
The 2026 theme is: “250 Years of Freedom” – celebrate our American flag and the Pledge of Allegiance! Raise your American and branch flags and showcase your organization and family’s many generations of service to our country!
Now seeking area nominees for 2026 Grand Marshals – Area WW II Veterans
The 2026 Grand Marshals: The WW II – Of the 16.4 million Americans who served in World War II, fewer than 45,500 are still alive today. Because these heroes are now in their late 90s and over 100 years old, time is of the essence for documenting their legacies. California has the largest surviving population of WWII veterans.
As such, the Veterans Parade Committee of Los Hermanos Familia and the Purple Hearts of the South Plains 0900 will honor WW II Veterans as the 2026 Grand Marshals. Please help us identify these heroes to include them in this very special parade commemorating 250 Years of Freedom by emailing us their names and contact info.
