Civic Lubbock, Inc., Stage Left Productions, and many community partners are organizing this year’s 4th on Broadway celebration on July 4, 2026. The main focus of all entities involved is to honor the legacy, and continue the free, family-friendly tradition Broadway Festivals Inc. started and carried out for 34 years.

The annual Fourth of July celebration will feature a new parade route, an afternoon picnic, evening concert and the fireworks show at the end of the night.

H-E-B’s Parade

• H-E-B’s Parade will step off at 9:45 a.m. from Ave M, head east down Broadway to MLK Blvd.

GECU’s Picnic Under the Stars 

• Picnic Under the Stars will start at 3:00 p.m. at the South Plains Fairgrounds 
• Activities take place from 3PM-7PM and will include:
• Lubbock Music NOW Stage – featuring local musicians
  3:00pm | Sonic Classic Car Show by Coffee and Cars Lubbcck
  3:00pm | Hannah Jackson
  4:00pm | SPiVEY
  5:00pm | Lindsey Bruner
  6:00pm | Ron Riley Band
• Leprino Foods Kids Area
• Sonic Classic Car Show
• Arts Row – featuring local arts organizations
• Food and beverage vendors will be on site.

Davis Smith’s Gorilla Law-palooza (South Plains Fairgrounds)

• The Law-palooza will start at 7:00 p.m.

Sponsored by the Gorilla Law Firm, the concert starts at 7 p.m. featuring music from Mariachi Mi Tierra. That set will be followed by Texas-based musician and social media influencer Louie TheSinger. He has garnered a significant following for his unique blend of country music, reflecting his Mexican heritage and personal life experiences. The evening’s headliner, the rock band Lit, will take the stage at 9 p.m. Playing what is characterized as pop-punk, alternative rock and power pop, Lit is best known for songs like “My Own Worst Enemy,” “Zip-Lock” and “Miserable.”

H-E-B’s Fireworks Extravaganza (South Plain Fairgrounds)

• H-E-B’s Fireworks Extravaganza will start at 10:00 p.m. featuring classic and contemporary patriotic music.
