Experience “reNEW!” at the 2025 Lubbock Arts Festival!
We’re thrilled to announce this year’s theme: “reNEW!”  This theme reflects our commitment to sustainability in the arts, exploring the beautiful intersection of creativity and environmental awareness. Throughout the festival, talented artists will present special exhibits designed from repurposed, recycled, and reused materials, as well as natural and found objects.

Meet Our Featured Artist: Pat Maines
We are proud to introduce Pat Maines as this year’s Featured Artist! Her work perfectly embodies the spirit of “reNEW!” Pat’s artistry is rooted in adaptive reuse, transforming discarded items into stunning mixed-media creations. From discontinued tile samples to lost chess pieces and even lipstick lids, she breathes new life into objects that others might overlook. Her work is a testament to the beauty of reinvention and the joy of giving things another purpose.
Her attention to detail shines in every piece she creates, whether 3D or 2D. Pat’s innovative use of reused materials is evident in her miniatures, purses, greeting cards, assemblages, and even melted crayon paintings. Each piece invites you to take a closer look and discover the joy of transformation.
Join us at the Lubbock Arts Festival to experience Pat’s incredible work and so much more! As you explore her booth, you’ll see her passion for giving objects a second chance—and perhaps feel inspired to embrace a little creativity and renewal in your own life. For Pat, being a maker is about more than creating art; it’s about sharing the happiness that comes from seeing the world in new ways.
