Friday March 6: Meet and Greet with Semi-Finalists at First Friday Art Trail from 6-9 p.m.

Founded by LHUCA in 2019, the West Texas Battle of the Bands gives local musicians a platform to showcase their talent. Bands compete in a three-round contest for prizes such as paid performances, recording time, and production services. The event fosters professional growth, providing opportunities for bands to build lasting partnerships, connect with venues, and further their careers.

The West Texas Battle of the Bands invites bands of two or more members to submit a single, original track for consideration. A panel of judges selects 8 semi-finalists to advance to the public voting round during the First Friday Art Trail. The top 4 voted bands will then move on to the Finals, where they will perform a 15-minute public set. Judges will determine the second and first place winners based on their final performances.

FIRST PLACE
10 hours recording time and consultation at Amusement Park Recording Studios, 2-hour photoshoot with Joe Baker Photography, a gig at The Blue Light Live, a gig at the 2026 Lubbock Live Festival, and a headlining performance at a First Friday Art Trail ($500).
