TEDxTexas Tech presents “Who We Become” – a ten-speaker narrative journey exploring what shapes human identity and what we choose to make of it. The program unfolds in two acts: the first examines the internal and social forces that mold us – from subconscious pattern-making and the wisdom of failure to the weight of leadership and the power of storytelling. The second act widens the lens to science, society, and choice, exploring everything from bat biology and national identity to psychological decision-making, closing with Mayor Mark McBrayer on why becoming never stops.

Beyond the stage, attendees will experience original art and architectural models from the Huckabee College of Architecture and a live performance by the Lapis Quartet, from the Texas Tech School of Music. A 30-minute networking break offers space for reflection and conversation between acts.
