Experience the power of music from across generations as the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra joins forces with the talented musicians of the Lubbock Youth Orchestras in a thrilling side-by-side performance. The program begins with Florence Price’s Symphony No. 1, a groundbreaking work blending lush orchestration with the rich melodies of African American spirituals. Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” follows with nostalgic themes of American folk music.
