Step into the world of fashion history at our next Come & See program!
In connection with the upcoming exhibition Timeless & Repurposed: Nancy Johnson’s Iconic Fashion, our Clothing & Textiles curator, Dr. Marian Ann Montgomery, will highlight the legacy of designer Nancy Johnson.
At the height of her career, Johnson’s fashions were sold in more than 2,500 shops nationwide. Her designs from the 1970s–1990s often reimagined details from earlier eras. Inspired by Johnson’s nods to the 1920s and 1930s, students have selected garments and accessories from those decades to showcase during this month’s program.
The Come and See programs are on Thursday and Saturday and are identical; they are free and run from 10:30 a.m. to noon each day in the Helen DeVitt Jones Auditorium, off the west entrance to the museum.
Don’t miss this behind-the-scenes look at fashion’s past and future, right here at the Museum at Texas Tech University!
