VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY IN THE LCD

Communications Intern
Volunteer Center of Lubbock

Requested hours per week: 10-15 hours, unpaid

Requested time commitment: Summer 2022 and/or Fall 2022

Potential Majors: Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or other related majors

Tasks:
• Story telling (ex. Scheduling and transcribing interviews, converting interviews to written content)
• Assist in technical writing (ex. grants, reports, program and event descriptions)
• Other office-related tasks/duties

Qualifications, Skills:
• Strong research and writing skills
• Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience writing SEO friendly content is helpful, but not required
