Rural communities provide food, fuel and fiber that sustain Texas. And while our cities are growing fast, 3 million rural Texans still have big needs and wants that state leaders can’t ignore, including insufficient economic development and a lack of access to health care and broadband. How are leaders in rural communities around the state taking on big issues that matter to rural Texans?
Join us for “The Future of Rural Texas,” a multiday event happening Nov. 17-18 in person in Lubbock and streaming virtually. Hear from industry experts, community leaders and local lawmakers from across Texas on what rural Texans are facing and what’s ahead.
This multiday event will be simultaneously streamed for virtual attendees and will be available to watch on demand afterward at texastribune.org/events.
