Experience a diverse program that spans across different eras and styles, promising a captivating musical journey.

PROGRAM:
“Passacaglia in Primary Colors” by Michael Daugherty
“I wake in the dark and remember” by Joel Puckett
Featuring TTU Viola Professor, Philippe Chao
“D’un Matin de Printemps” by Lili Boulanger
“Symphonic Metamorphosis” by Paul Hindemith
Michael Daugherty’s “Passacaglia in Primary Colors” draws inspiration from the repetitive motifs and vibrant colors characteristic of Andy Warhol’s art.
Joel Puckett’s “I wake in the dark and remember” is a poignant exploration of W.S. Merwin’s poetry, evoking imagery of darkness, rain, and awakening.
Lili Boulanger’s “D’un Matin de Printemps” showcases her talent for blending traditional and progressive techniques, resulting in a piece that exudes energy and vivid colors.
Finally, Paul Hindemith’s “Symphonic Metamorphosis” is a dynamic reinterpretation of themes by Carl Maria von Weber, marked by its colorful orchestration and imaginative transformations.
