Movie Screening of “1946” & Proclamation Letter Writing Campaign

Join OUTwest Lubbock Sat Jun 01, 2024, at 3:00 PM for a free screening of the informative documentary film “1946” followed by a Q&A panel of expert clergy from the Lubbock community.

Before the movie screening, we urge you to stand with OUTwest Lubbock in our crucial efforts for Pride Proclamation Lubbock. This campaign, led by the LGBTQIA+ community and our Allies, is a persistent call to our elected city leaders for a long overdue Proclamation declaring June Pride Month. We provide all the necessary tools! Even if you are not attending the screening of 1946, your participation in our campaign is invaluable!

*We will have traditional movie concessions available for purchase, and beer and wine available with a suggested donation of $5 per beverage. Valid ID required for consumption.

3 – 3:30pm – Proclamation Letter Writing Campaign

Join OUTwest Lubbock in our efforts for Pride Proclamation Lubbock, a campaign of LGBTQIA+ and our Allies as we continue to request our elected city leaders for a long overdue Proclamation declaring June Pride Month. OUTwest Lubbock is proud to bring you a free screening of the documentary, “1946.” 1946 is a documentary film that chronicles how the misuse of a single word changed the course of modern history.

5 – 5:30pm – Q&A Panel

Directly following the documentary screening, we will have a panel of experts to answer your questions. This panel will include local clergy from all denominations.
