LHUCA Exhibitions Assistant Position
Position Title: Exhibitions Assistant
Supervisor: Curator
Time Commitment: 20 – 30 hours per month. Schedule varies.
Location: Lubbock, TX
Pay Rate: $12 per hour
Job Description:
LHUCA is seeking a highly organized, self-motivated individual to assistant the Curator as the Exhibitions
Assistant. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Creating wall labels and other print materials for exhibitions
• Helping to install and take down artwork in exhibitions
• Packing and unpacking artwork
• Generating social media posts
• Developing press releases
• Sending exhibition information to press contacts
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of/or interest in art
• Experience using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Experience using social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook
• Possess good grammar and writing skills
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
• Must have schedule availability each month the week leading up to First Friday Art Trail (Sunday
– Thursday)
• Preferred qualifications:
o Experience handling and installing artwork
