Position Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Producer or Sr. Producer in the pre production, production, post production and editing phases of television, radio, telecommunications and other multi-media technology production.

Major/Essential Functions

Creates and distributes unique, relevant, and brand-consistent content through Texas Tech Public Media’s social media channels and websites.  Content creation, posting and management of our social media platforms.  Proactively participates in strategy sessions with marketing team.  Guides all projects through the production process toe meet or exceed deadline, budget, quality and distribution requirements.  Edits copy for digital posting.  Attends meetings and is responsible for appropriate recordkeeping, correspondence, phone calls, and supplies and equipment.

Required Qualifications

High School and two years of direct training and/or experience in a telecommunications/multi-media environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of social media management experience, adobe creative suite or creative cloud experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in media production or related field plus 1 year of production experience in a fast-paced environment.

Occasional Duties

May be asked to participate in station membership campaigns and community-building events on weekends.
