Please join Clara Byom (multi-instrumentalist and Development Director at Klezmer Institute) for a quick survey of klezmer music. Learn about renowned performers from the early 20th century, today’s most prolific composers of new klezmer music, and a new community-driven project to digitize old klezmer manuscripts. Clara will share recordings, demonstrate dance rhythms on accordion, and highlight ornamentation details on the clarinet. By the end you may be dancing a bulgar!
