Operates a console, machinery, and/or data terminal. Work is performed under direct supervision, and is evaluated on the basis of accuracy and adequacy of output. Work is performed under office conditions; employees may work under pressure to meet deadlines. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.

About the Department and/or College

Major/Essential Functions
Monitor program logs for the television and radio automation systems and make corrections as needed. Working ahead to avoid operational problems with a minimal error. Operate television and radio broadcast editors and related equipment to tag promos.
Oversee television and radio program downloads and records for proper playout and to maintain program continuity and signal quality. Respond to system alarms and take necessary correction action. After hours nights and weekends.
Monitor and verify that KTTZ and KCOS television signals and feeds operate within FCC guidelines.
Monitor and verify that KTTZ and KNCH radio signals and feeds operate within FCC guidelines.
Ensure television programs are closed captioned.
Operate various television and radio broadcast equipment including automation systems, EAS systems, non-linear video editor, video and audio switchers, waveform monitors and other associated equipment, as required.
Required Qualifications
Completion of high school or the equivalent plus two years work experience in the area of assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional job-related experience may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis.
