Calling All Community Helpers!

We are asking for your help to make the Lubbock City-Wide Back-2-School Bash at the Civic Center a smashing success!

More than 60 local agencies have partnered together – including the YWCA of Lubbock – to plan this event, and we need volunteers to help us distribute 5,000 free backpacks filled with essentials to children in our community on August 3 from 2:00-6:00 PM! This event at the Civic Center will also provide:

Free Books
Free Haircuts
Free Vaccinations
Free School Supplies
Free Hygiene Kits
Free Dinner

Free Resource Fair – with 100+ community agencies giving away even more essentials to prepare our kids for the school year!

Here’s where YOU come in: We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic, extroverted volunteers to help hand out backpacks during the event. We need lively community members to bring the energy and help distribute them to the kids at the event!
