Call for Submissions | Playwrights

Lubbock Community Theatre is looking for playwrights for its next 10 minute play festival!

-Playwrights must be residents of Texas and 21 years or older.
-Plays can be any genre (comedy, mystery, drama) and must be 5 – 14 minutes in running time.
-Plays must not feature more than 6 speaking roles and must have very limited production values, since all 10 plays will be presented at the same time.
-Plays that require huge sets, difficult to find props, or extensive special effects will not be considered.
-All submissions must be sent electronically to the address below. Please put the word “submission” in the subject line.

Once the ten plays have been selected, LCT will have applications for directors for each of the works.

After a rehearsal period, the Tumbleweed 10 x 10 Festival will take place Friday, August 9th and Saturday, August 10th, 2024.
