LHUCA is proud to bring you the 8th annual Robert Ellis Patterson Art Award.

A $300 cash award will be awarded to one Lubbock area HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR! Award will be presented on May 5, 2023 during the First Friday Art Trail.

About: Robert began his passion for the arts, both visual and performing, during his school years in Lubbock. Later, as a gallery owner and curator, he encouraged and promoted young and emerging artists. In memory of Robert Ellis Patterson, his friends and family have created this award to celebrate his life, love of the arts, and passion for helping young artists.

Open call: To all South Plains area ISD seniors working in the visual arts: painting, drawing, printmaking, video, collage, mixed media, photography, clay, jewelry, installations, digital prints, and textiles.

Eligibility: Must be a Lubbock area high school senior.

To Apply: All interested students should send a digital portfolio of 5 – 10 images, an artist statement, and contact information to [email protected] Files too large to email may be shared via Google Drive or Dropbox.
