Auditions for the Fall 2025 season will be held in June and August at the TTU School of Music. Auditions for the Chorale consist of a brief solo that the applicant prepares and performs (pianist provided) and that best shows the natural qualities of one’s voice; vocalization (guided).

The Lubbock Chorale is looking for the best vocal talent from the South Plains area for our 2025-2026 season!

The chorale is a community-based ensemble of more than 100 voices from all walks of life. People interested in singing with the Chorale should have some experience singing in choral ensembles, such as high school, college, or church choirs. Singers should be able to read music. We warmly welcome inquiries about becoming a singing member of The Lubbock Chorale!

Membership dues are $50 per semester (fall and spring) for all members. An additional $25 community member fee is applied each semester for non-TTU employees and students. Registration opens approximately two weeks before the first rehearsal in August and January.

If you would like to audition for The Lubbock Chorale, please fill out a form for the date you’d like to audition. You will receive an email back with a time slot after your submission.

DATES OF COMMITMENT
Tuesday evening rehearsals from 7:30-9:00pm beginning August 19 through December 6. There will be no rehearsal on the Tuesday of Thanksgiving break.

Concert: Saturday, October 18th | 50th Celebration Concert | Hemmle Recital Hall | 7:30pm (call time typically an hour prior)

Concert: Saturday, December 6th | Handel’s Messiah | Hemmle Recital Hall | 7:30pm (call time typically an hour prior)

Dress Rehearsals: TBD, typically scheduled Thurs and/or Friday evenings before concert date; additional rehearsals with the orchestra may be requested the morning or afternoon of concert day.
