Written in 1891, Oscar Wilde’s Salomé, a tragedy in one act, is the provocative retelling of the biblical story of Herod’s stepdaughter, who is known for the Dance of the Seven Veils and the demise of John the Baptist.

Approximately 23 roles available – inclusive and fluid casting. The role of Salomé requires dancing. Some roles may be double cast.

A read-through will be held on August 4. Rehearsals begin August 5 – 14 for main characters only and August 15 for all characters. Show dates are September 15 – 18, 23 – 25 2022 at The EDGE Theatre, 4228 Boston Ave.

Those auditioning are asked to prepare a 1 ½ minute monologue, preferred but not required. Cold reading a selection from the script is also acceptable. Auditioners are also asked to provide information about any conflicts during the rehearsal period. Headshots and resumes are not required but would be appreciated. Upon acceptance of roles, contracts and releases will be required.

Crew positions are also available.
