Saturday, November 2nd
11:30am – 1pm
Free and open to the public
Join us for an informal conversation in the galleries with Cande Aguilar and Alejandro Macias.
Born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, Cande Aguilar is a self-taught artist who reflects on border culture through his barrioPOP distinctive style. Cande’s large scale paintings combine graffiti art, and street culture to create a unique style of bordertown pop art.
Alejandro Macias’ work is a mixture of conventional, representational, and abstract techniques that acts as a metaphor for his upbringing in the remote, and culturally rich, Rio Grande Valley.
This event is free to the public.
We will have coffee and donuts for your pleasure!
