The 12^th Annual “Vamos a Pescar, Let’s Go Fishing” event will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Buddy Holly Lake. The event is a project of Los Hermanos Familia and is free to the public. Parents and guardians can enjoy this free fun fishing event with their kids and are asked to preregister at www.letsgofishinglubbock.com.

No fishing license is required for youth or adults who are participating in this event. The Buddy Holly Lake will be stocked with hungry catfish.

Participants should bring their own fishing pole and tackle. A very limited number of loaner poles will be available for use that day. Families are also encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets, bug spray, water, snacks, and sunscreen, and anything needed for fishing and a comfortable day. Children of all ages and all abilities are invited. Lunch will be available at 11 a.m.

On-site check-in will be at Buddy Holly Lake Recreational Area in front of the Landwer Party House at N. University Ave. & Cesar E Chavez Dr. For more information, call 806-792-1212.
