Position Description

Advises individuals and provides guidance services regarding routine to complex issues in assigned area. Work is performed under general supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures. This title will require an extended, descriptive title.

Major/Essential Functions

Act as A Designated School Official (DSO) for the University’s F-1 student program and advise international students on cross-cultural, financial, academic and other issues in relation to the student’s immigration status.
Maintain internal and external records and issue immigration documents as required by laws and regulations for non-immigrant F-1 students and their dependents.
Maintain communication and cooperation with the university community and external government agencies concerning international student’s immigration status.
Represent the office and university at regional, national and international professional conferences and meetings. Assist with digital needs in ISSS (Terra Dotta requests, website, and form preparation).

 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or progressively responsible related experience to equal six (6) years.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree and experience working with student immigration processes and requirements.

Pay Statement
